Isabella and Isaac were married in mid-October at the historic Highlands Ranch Mansion in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. This was my first time photographing at this Colorado wedding venue and it is one that I hope to return to time and time again. From the lush greenery along the front lawn and back courtyard, to the rich, moody decor within the mansion, the historic estate boasts endless backdrops for upscale, luxury wedding photos. Keep scrolling to see how Isabella and Isaac really nailed the ‘Old Money’ vibes for their Highlands Ranch Mansion wedding!
I was lucky enough to photograph this wedding day as an associate photographer for the talented Claire Hunt Photography!
If you’re looking for a Colorado wedding venue, but the mountain-feel really isn’t your style, then look no further. Highlands Ranch Mansion offers distant mountain views, historic charm, and endless sophistication. Conveniently located just 20 miles south of downtown Denver, this venue is a great option for couples looking to invite a lot of out-of-town guests to their wedding. The mansion is situated on 250 acres of gorgeous ranchland and tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, making you feel like you’re hosting all of your closest friends and family at your very own mansion….we wish, right?
The mansion itself is is 27,000 square feet and offers plenty of options and versatility for all the events of your wedding day. Although Isabella and her girls started their morning at her childhood home (which was so special), they shuttled over to the venue to put the finishing touches on their looks in the upstairs suite of the mansion. Isaac and his guys took over one of the spaces downstairs, allowing everyone to be comfortably separated, but still close by! The perfect situation for capturing getting ready photos of both the bride and groom.
Isabella and Isaac chose to have their ceremony on the expansive, lush lawn outside of the mansion. We lucked out with absolutely gorgeous weather all day and the sun was definitely shining down on them as they promised themselves to each other! After their ceremony, we ran around the property for some seriously steamy sunset portraits before rejoining their group for wedding party and family portraits. I’m manifesting more wedding parties with the same level of energy and fun that Isabella and Isaac’s crew brought!
For their reception decor, Isabella and Isaac’s team of vendors transformed the mansion’s Great Hall with a clean, classic color scheme and unexpected touches. A baby’s breath flower cloud, mossy centerpieces that perfectly accentuated the velvet green table linens, a fun champagne tower grand entrance, and personalized jerseys from the college where they met, were just a few ways they made the party feel like them! Of course, I had to pull them from the party for some quick, flash photos around the mansion. This red bathroom and the moody study were the perfect spots for some spicy, just-married photos!! One of my favorite ways to end my photography coverage!
